mk2 golf 16v (1991) ... car hu is picking up interference from the washer motor when i do the windscreen wash, is this a known or common prob, if so... what is the remedy .

Check the earth is connected properly on the headunit and it has a good earthing point.
Have you got any amps etc or is just a headunit with speakers?

could buy a supressor to fit around your aerial behind the head unit?

this should stop your head unit picking up the electronic interference :huh:
