Picked up a car to get road town in....
Ford Falcon Longreach Ute with a 302 Windsor V8
A few little mods
2.5 stainless exhaust and balance tube
Pacemaker headers
lowersprings on the front
polybushed front end
Sounds awesome with the V8 burble.
Doesnt like wet roads as all it wants to do is go sideways....!
-
     got it all sorted in the end :afro:
-
So bad it's almost good
-
-
Transplant I hear?

It will do for 6 months or so. Second hand cars over here are f**king expensive!!! 5k doesn't get much maybe a 20 year old ford fiesta! It's nice inside for a 16 year old ford....did I mention it sounds awesome..
-
Good job you dont have to look at it when you're sat inside it
-
I think it looks awesome! Although I have no knowledge of them what so ever.
-
You lied there are lots of clouds
-
Sod the Ute, what is the bike all about? looks like a Royal Enfield!

As chuff said its a 37 triumph, he paid for $4k for it and its all sot road ready  it's amazing what they allow on the road over here some are nothing more than scrap metal.

Well drove 600km's to Perth in it on Saturday, was spot on only used a tank too :smug:
Then done 450km's today and the f**king water pump has exploded...... So its currently hiding in the bush about 150km's from my town.
Got to try and find recovery vehicle around here and go a pick it up, only trouble is am away on a mine site all week and back on Sunday
And Chuff I blame you :lipsrsealed:
-
Sounds like the curse of the MK4 followed you Steve :lipsrsealed:
-
Yep, get it recovered tomorrow, buy pump and fit it tomorrow then advertise it tomorrow.....then buy one on finance :lipsrsealed: as anything better will cost at least 20k

Lost your want for an Aussie car quite quickly then.
-
Keeping it now I've calmed down a little. A half decent replacement would cost 20k and a good car would be 30k plus
Got it towed 172km the other day and currently waiting on a new water pump, 2 idler pulleys and a belt. God knows how long they will take to come. You don't get express delivery over here.
-
god, if you sold the mk4 every time if broke . . . . . . .
-

Be cheaper to go over then, buy one and bring it back!
-
Not aloud too, you have to own the car for 12 months to be able to bring it into the country. Otherwise, you have to a stupid amount of tax and try and get it registered.
If I had more notice of me coming over I would have bought a high end BMW or Porsche and made 6x what it costs in the uk
-
so after posting
Amazing Chinese build quality here.....
you Fixed this yet . . . .
-
Yes it is  and this has 245k km on it not 75km.....
-
 was just the pump then, lucky
-
Yep, and am used to cars blowing up on me so stopped straight away....
-
Should of took the mk4 out there lol
-
Not with the state of the roads over here! It would bottom out every 500 meters. Give it 6 months or so and a nice 4x4 will replace it
-
 steve goes up in the world

It's the same in Brazil. My dad paid around £25k for a Peugeot 207 SW which here in the UK would about £14k. Buying a new-ish base model Audi A3 over there costs as much as buying a brand new fully loaded Golf GTI here, about £30k. Anything imported has crazy import tax.

Oh well the ute is up for sale....
Dont trust the thing no more and need something more suited to the outback
New car is lined up, lets say Ill look small in it.... Chuff keep your mouth shut
