Hello Everybody
Well been awhile since i was here but the lure of vw and golfs is getting to much :lipsrsealed: i wish now i hadn't got rid of my mkiv gti really do miss it :cry: and being here on the forum i still have the (note) :whistle: and likely to have for a year or two so a new golf is not going to happen i would really like a mk6 or 7 but financially this isnt an option at this time,so i had an idea of a project the other day something to keep me busy and getting my hands dirty in working with cars again has to be vw and a golf so as i'm on a budget i decided i would really like a mk2 pref 16 valver,a mk3 8v gti or maybe a mkiv again but pref a 1.9 sootburner 90/100ps model with a view to obviously mapping the latter :grin: well thought i had a bit of luck on sunday as i was the winning bid on a 2001 mkiv 1.9se td 90 model advertised as spares/repair some 90 odd miles from me so stuck the winning bid in at the last few secs of £490 and won,great i thought car was in good condition only had a lumpy idle/smokey when cold so knew i could fix and sort this and get it tidy again rang the breaker monday to be told somebody had been in earlier that morning and paid and taken it away :angry: :angry: good old e of bay so had to start looking again so keeping my eye out locally and countrywide to get myself the golf i can wait but if i spot anything then hopefully a deal can be done and i get my golf plan to use it daily i think but still use the sootburner note too but i can see it being the golf driven more haha so will try and get on here again to read up on mk2 and 3's :laugh: well its good to be back.
