To all the people who have a MK3 20vt, what kind of MPG can be achieved if driven with care and what kind of MPG if driven hard? So far my MK3 20vt is a lot better than my VR6 and faster

so far driven reasonably sensibly with the odd blast i get about 240 miles to a tank, the previous owner had it down to as low as 95 miles to a tank

Previous owner had it down to 95 miles to a tank.....Fu#k me, he must have been driving it flat out from turning it on to turning it off! How many litres do the MK3 tanks have? Interesting you say 240 miles to a tank mate......Same as my VR6 which was around 24MPG if I remember correctly. It is still very early days for me but I am sure mine is better than my VR6. I have been getting a bit throttle happy though, although traction in 1st and second on boost is just crazy, cant get the power down......But she is on standard VR6 Spring and shocks with crap tyres so I dont think that will help traction!!

I'd say it will be better on fuel. 2.8 down to a 1.8.

All depends on how it is driven, my vRS was not too bad but driven hard it would drink it.

But then you'd have to ask yourself, what is the point in having a turbo nutter mk3 and driving it like miss daisy.

I put £20 V Power in last night with every intension to see how many miles I could get from it ,soon got bored of that and its nearly gone,im at 57 miles so far

Vr turbo... Just short of 60miles a tank :lipsrsealed:

I can see your point on that one bud.....But mine is for my daily use. I work in construction so it gets filled with tools then at 4pm I have to pick my 15 year old daughter up, then my girlfriend uses it to run our 4 year old about so it cant always be thrashed, unlike the Cossie!
