Title: What importance dose this hose have :-/

I'm all new to this so not really sure what it actually does, but after cleaning my crank emissions hose i realised it had split right at the bottom where the oil breather pipe connects. iv used about 5 zip ties to hold it together so the split is a lot smaller but i really don't think its much of a fix. Should i be worried and rush out to get it fixed or will i be ok for now as i have a list as long as my arm for things that need doing first lol.

That's one dirty engine lol. I take it your trying to resolve this?

the dirt is the least of my worrys atm man. I did clean abit of that off but its leaking oil, and I can't seem to find a replacement part.
