Title: 1.8 16v - CLUTCH PEDAL NOT RETURNING - HELP
Post by: Tomonator1985 on 20 February 2013, 17:53
Hi guys

Cant get it in gear at all!

clutch lever arm moves up and down freely and does have resistance.

pedal will not push pack to the original position.

it is a manually adjusting clutch but i've adjusted it both ways on the cable and have replaced the cable.

ANY IDEAS WELCOME!

Have you had the clutch changed recently ? This happened to mine but luckily just needed adjusting.

i can push the pedal down and pull it back up but it wont come back up on its own.

lever arm moves up and down fine.

just seems like there isn;t enough tension to pull the pedal back to the starting position.
