Barnstaple mate! your not that far from me then! Never thought id come across someone on here near to me, but suppose there will be plenty of us from N.Devon! hope your car didnt get caught in them floods a couple of months ago! My mate lost there mk5 golf in it :huh:

I work in barny! No luckly Lynton wasn't too bad! And managed to get thru them. What do you need doin to your wheels? I've done a few sets and ain't too hard to do

Do you go through Bratton Fleming on the way to work? I used to always see a mk3 like yours as I was on my way home to Bratton in the mornings! Around 7ish, Had BBS wheels! I bet it was you, saw the car every morning!! I was in the black mk4 with bbs lm reps!! Just need to sand down the old alloy and re-spray it, the lacquer has peeled of pretty bad :/ its only the one I want to do ATM! Rs4 reps!

Yup that's me! Lol,do remember seeing you, always half asleep at that time tho lol. Ah right shouldn't be too hard todo yourself if your handy with a rattle can.

Yeah I was on my way home from a night shift (half asleep lol) il give you a been if I ever see you around :) Do I need to sand it right down first, I've got access to all the paint and lacquer, as my mums partner does paint jobs and airbrushing. Just want to learn to do it myself!?

i sit the lips you are wanting to sort out? if so they are probably polished so best bet is paint stripper to remove the rest of the lacquer then get polishing

Didnt get the first bit dude? Just pour paint stripper on them then polish then re- lacquer??

Sorry , should read is it just the lips.
I did some bbs lm reps recently. Dabbed stripper on the lips carefully, that lifted the lacquer. Sanded the corroded areas then repolish.

it was only a quick spruce up so not perfect but you get the idea
