Post by: pete_20vt on 18 February 2013, 22:36
Hi ppl. Not long had my golf 1.8t it came with a manual boost controller an a dv fitted on the cold side
Just wounded if its worth taken off its set to 1 bar its bin fitted properly but the fuel is unbelievable I getin 25/30 to the gal
 dono if this is normal or if its coz she boosting so much. She defo quicker then a normal 1.8t but have no idea wot els is done. Bin told the is a ko3s but think its just a ko3 an was told she is mapped but yet agen I think that was a load of bull.

Any help would be most appreciated. O an its the agu engine.

Rip it all out, back to standard...get it running right and go from there.  N75 is more than capable of doing a brilliant job of controlling boost.....even up to 5-600bhp.

Probably feels proper jerky on part throttle i bet?

To be fair 25/30mpg is all that I see out of mine. As said above though, get rid of the manual controller.

Put latest revision N75 on....all the J valve or race valve is a huge myth

With N75 correctly plugged in....you usually get around 7psi stock boost unmapped.
