Title: gti clocks in a 1.3 buzzing noise normal??
Post by: search on 18 February 2013, 00:33
like I said before in another post my 1.3 came with gti clocks but every now and then the engine light comes on with an annoying buzzing, I couldn't find much on mk2 but came across a polo with the same issue. someone stated its nothing to worry about as the sensor looking for two out puts when the car only has one out put.... (not sure what I'm talking about but just be interesting to know if its all safe and normal for gti clocks in a none gti car or should I do an a oil change?)
 cheers.

Oil pressure.

Lots to worry about if the pressure really is low.

If you didn't have the relevant sensor, the alarm buzzer would go off every time you go over about 2000-2500 rpm. Is this what's happening?

it just likes to do it once in a blue moon, then goes off. it would last 10 mins max. with a flashing  light and buzzing but i'v been reading this could just be coz someone sput GTi clocks in a 1.3 before i was the owner and i'm crap with electrical things so i wouldn't know where to look.
