even without mk3 mounts they will fit (most of the low mk2's now use the vr6 spec mounts)

Are they new top mounts?

A bit of grease up there will eliminate it.

Rear mounts upside down?  I have seen this and it is easily done.

new febi mounts front and rear,will check to make so i fitted mounts correct way as the back still feels likes its swaying a bit and squeaking...could do with a pic of correct way fitting rear mounts onto coilovers if anyone has one?

Sounds like its leaked its fluid. I hope I'm wrong though and they are new

They do sometimes squeak if they are not tightened down enough.

do you use the long spacer washer from old shocks when fitting coilovers?
yes they are second hand but newish if you know what i mean,no fluild leaks..

I used the spacer washer on mine and they've been fine for almost a year now.
