Trying to get my Golf to look like a standard GTI. Is this black standard as I know some black paints have silver flecks in them.
Also check out how well this has been done!
Looks like a white mark or dent on the far lower right, that is a reflection!

And from the inside......

question doesn't make sense. Them pics are really small to.
looks like the boot isn't done well at all?
you will have to replace that boot for it to look standard

Sorry that what I was meaning......I want to replace the boot but are there different blacks in the MK3's?
Boot is done very very well! My neighbour works on very high end cars doing bodyworks and he said it was incredibly well done.

Just the small pics then. Chances are that it's not a standard colour and been done the colour it is for ease when repairing/modding it. Matching colour etc.
Tell us the paint code because there are many different black variations and I'm sure someone on here has the same as you.

So the boot is the only bit which is any good?.. :lipsrsealed:

Rest of the car is really good......Had a really good look over today. Front wings are perfect but they are only 9 months old with receipt from VW as bought new (Maybe both original ones had rotted away?) About 1" bubbling on lower drivers door. Sills are good. Carpet is wet underneath though but that is coming out tomorrow and I am going to investigate. Once found what is going on the the entire floor will be rubbed down and have a nice thick coat of Hammerite. Carpet will be steam cleaned whilst out. Had a lot of the dash out today and cleaned as I am very fussy like that, even dust behind the dash that is not on view will bother me so that is all nice and clean. So far so good......I would say about £70-100 to fix all the little niggles on bits of missing interior parts. Engine seems good although MAF was filthy so it had a nice blast of carb cleaner today. It has a Halfords mushroom airfilter on which I think is terrible as they is crap in the inlet pipe to the MAF so need to replace that with either a Piper-X or K&N. Will do a video in the next few days and put it on Youtube of a 0-70MPH.....This will be filmed on a disused runway

there's a few blacks but the most common is pearl diamond/magic black LC9Z
but there are also several variations of LC9Z!! (same colour and code but some are more black!)
-
Their is at least 3 different blacks
Non metallic lo41 like mine and then theirs at least 2 metallics

The car looks green in ur sig pic

What's the attraction of removing the rear wipers on hatchbacks? The mk3 has to be the worst car I've driven for attracting spray and mud to the rear screen
