I usually drive a 400mile round trip every other week, mostly on Mways and DC ways. Normally driving after a night shift (2000-0100) and I have always just driven at 60mph on single carriageways when possibe and then 80 on dual carriageways, roughly averaged 52-54 (although 50ish recently with cool weather).
Last night I was in a rush to deliver a valentine gift before midnight :embarrassed: so was driving at 90mph no more on the Mways etc, and was expecting dreadful MPG, still managed 47mpg!!
This pleases me, don't know about you lot. Just thought I'd share

At that mines usually 40mpg on a 150 ARL, lucky bugger! ;)

I'v got an ARL also!
I have never managed to get below 45mpg now matter how hard I drive.
Could you have an underlying issue? Sticky calliper? Boost leak?

temperature make a massive difference on diesel

Don't think so, checked for all the usuall issues..have found it strange that I don't even get 350 miles off a tank if I haven't done a long run though..

I see alot of people on here with hi 50s round town and more on a run so im guessing that these figures are when your driving very sensable. My own car tends to average round town 38 to 45 I can get it higher but I would be driving like my nan.On a run I stick around the 80 mph mark with the cruise control on I see close 50 mpg I tend to get abit more if I turn the Cruise control off.My car has had a custom map,EGR delete, drilled air box and de-cat with a straight pipe and its a 100 pd model and as far as I know its running perfect I also only use V-power derv which isnt cheap.
