I recently got a bargain M42 lens, a Chinon f1.7 55m lens. It can only be used fully manual on my Sony A200 but I have found that it has made me fall in love with photography all over again! Has anyone else found this? Does anyone else shoot wide open? It has made me see things completely different!

Regularly shoot wide open, kinda moreso with the 24-70mm since the 5D2.
You're getting nice DoF there. Looks good.

Cheers! The dof and the bokeh you can get with this lens is amazing.

Nice job.
The snow shot is superb and the bokeh on the bridge shot is really nice and smooth.
Shooting wide open is nice, if the subject is right and if your focussing is spot on.
I tend to find that even with my f1.7 50mm lens, I shoot at f2.8 or above.
How's the sharpness on that lens?
