Hi all
I'm new to this forum so apologies if you've already answered this but I can't find the answer anywhere.
I recently bough a second hand 2008 golf 2.0 tdi gt sport and I can't work out how to set up my phone with the bluetooth connection (it has the built in satnav, media, radio, etc touch screen bit in the car).
I wonder if anyone has a step by step guide on how to link the phone with the telephone bluetooth?
Thanks

Welcome
Are you 100% sure its fitted with bluetooth? :undecided: Sounds daft but the previous owner may not have specced the bluetooth. Just because its fitted with satnav doesn't automatically mean its got the bluetooth module fitted; they were separate options. It could be the previous owner has retro-fitted the satnav as its a popular upgrade
Turn the ignition on
Go to Setting > Bluetooth . search devices
If found it should appear and then ask you to pair; think the code is 1234 or something like that. Also if you have several devices paired with your iPhone, delete them all so that the phone has a good chance of pairing with the module (if fitted)
Hope that helps

Thanks.
I tried searching for devices last night and the phone found the car through bluetooth but it didn't ask me for anything else (i.e. didn't ask for a code) and then I couldn't figure out how to use the phone through the car.
I'm guessing if the phone found the car's bluetooth, then the car must have bluetooth...
Is there anything I need to do with the car (other than having the ignition on) to connect the two?
Thanks for your help.

When it appears on the iPhone click on the device name and it should ask you to connect / pair? You then enter the code and go from there
