Title: Don't buy these BBS RT077's on ebay
Post by: E36valver on 13 February 2013, 02:12
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-BBS-RT-077-Alloy-Wheels-17-inch-Euro-Stance-/160973297936?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item257ac19910

I bought them off him a couple of months ago & got a refund the rim bolts are duds I didn't think they were worth £300 - standard hex bolts so you'll need a complete new set of bolts, around £2 each if you buy oem quality & about 130 bolts in total) Also the dishes look shiny but need a repolish as there is a lot of corrosion come through around the bolt holes. (athough you can see that from the pics & I was aware of that when I bought them)

Now instead of relisting them cheaper & saying they need new bolts he's just signed up to ebay under a different username & is tyring to flog em again with the same description.

Suppose they may be worth it for someone if you buy a set of ebay bolts (£90ish) & can finish the dishes yourself - it'd be a lot less work than polishing up an tatty set I guess plus the bolts are already out so easy to split but just be aware of the full SP with these

Seen a few tatty sets (with bolts!!) of Style 19's go for around £150 recently & there's a set on gumtree at the mo for around £200, for comparisons sake.

They're AWESOME wheels tho, much prefer them to RC041/042's suprised more Dubbers don't rock them!

Seeing them again with nice shiny dishes makes me want them all over again!

BY THE WAY He offered me £150 partial refund to keep the wheels but in the meantime I bought a lovely set of RZ's & wanted a full refund on these. But tell him you know the score about the bolts from the previous buyer & lowball him - could be a right bargain  :lipsrsealed:

I Know - I'll have to have a look & see if he's still selling other things under his old username & just created a new account specifically to shift these wheels, because he'd sold a fair few things on his old username & had a lot of feedback.

He's a dub fan as well - his old username was golfedition35 & he drives a slammed polo

Cheers though yep I had to open a case on ebay but he agreed to refund postage both ways which I insisted on. He was acutally a really good guy about it, strangely.
