Title: vw dash trim queston

my vw surround around the cd etc has seem to peiled and has a few scratches, would i be able to repreay it to the same colour as the car

any ideas what i could do whats cheap?

Wrap it in carbon fibre or brushed alluminium. Or spray mat black. £10

I took all my woodtrim out and replaced it with OEM black trim however i quickly realised you cannot buy the two side strips anywhere so i sanded them back and sprayed them up :)

Mine used to be wood. I need some thinner two sided tape for the thin vertical strips to sit flush but this is mine  :smiley:

Not being rude but after seeing this I'm glad I bought proper aluminium from an anni! That does not look good at all

Show me the proper stuff and I will judge ha ha. But for £5 I'm happy as the pictures don't show how much it looks like brushed ali!

Gotta agree that looks takky. Thats why i got brushed alluminium vinyl for mine. looks good i think and lot cheaper then real stuff :wink:

Different grade vinyl. Looks jus standard silver vinyl :lipsrsealed:

You need hide the wrapping creases bud :grin: and get rid the vinyl around the gear knob :wink:

Don't know why it looks so crap maybe just the light? I know I do mate but the centre console was scabby as hell so a new one will be ordered if I end up keeping the car as sircumstances may change soon?! :/

Ah right if your planning to keep it ill send you small piece the vinyl i used u can compare it up if you like. I went throught loadsss vinyls to find closest i could to the r32 brused alluminium look :grin:

Could not justify paying £££ for the orginal ali trim. Crazy prices

And Nav i was lucky i got the full set and R32 door handles for £125  It looks the best IMO but agreed can be pricey

U won't pay 100 for Ali trim yet u would pay a grand got seats!! Lol nav don't be a muppet get ures elf a decent set of recaros I got my leather recaros for £300 and I think they are comfier than r32 seats

That 1 is the pioneer avh 2400bt a very good unit with built in parrot and I used a 32gb mini stick with it for tunes
