Hi Guys
In order to further our aspirations in the GTi MK6 market we would like to take some fresh pictures of our system on a customers car...
We would also like the opportunity to explore the possibility of a new and unique tail pipe design.
Anyone who is familiar with our work and quality from the MKV forums will bear out this opportunity and the value it represents.
We are prepared to offer a forum member a 30% discount off our retail price for any of our MK6 systems in return for using the car to promote our system.
http://www.powervalve.co.uk/vw/golf/golf-mk6-2-0-tsi-gti-2008.html
Of course all identification marks will be removed, such as the reg plate.
In addition we will do the install foc.
Many thanks
Nige

Pm'd you :)

Would love to do this especially before the show season starts! Just don't have the funds at the moment. I love the look of the power valve on this. Might have to pop along as your only ten minutes from my in laws.
Nige, what is the tip design your playing with?
-
Hi Ginge
We tooled up a totally unique 100mm tip with a 40 degree mitre (putting a rolled edge on a 15-20 degree mitre cut is tricky - 40 degree is   )
We use this design currently on the Focus RS II
http://www.powervalve.co.uk/ford/focus/focus-rs-turbo-mk-2-2009/ford-focus-rs-turbo-mk-2-2009-catback-system-stainless-4-00-trims.html
and the Seat Leon Cupra R.
http://www.powervalve.co.uk/seat/leon-cupra-r-2-0-t-fsi-2010/seat-leon-cupra-r-2-0-t-fsi-2010-catback-system-twin-stainless-4-00-trims.html
The idea is to have the trims following the form of the rear valence perfectly, a bit like we did (again uniquely) with the 80mm 35 degree tims on the Golf V
Cheers Bud

They look epic mate!

Would do on an Ed35 bud

Tell me about it, but Mrs Ginge ain't taking the bait at the moment! Even with the discount carrot being dangled!
-
I agree, getting a green light from the war dept is getting harder and harder
-
Liking the look and sound of this
How long would you need the car for, i presume you have already got the system sorted ? is it just the tailpipe design you are after playing with and perfecting ?
-
Hi Neil
Yes the system is all sorted - we would just need the car for the day - pictures etc and to try the new trim option
Cheers

^^^^ Haha
I read that the wrong way :embarrassed:
No mk7 Gti for me, decided to keep mine until the mk7 R is released and the new M series beemers, will decide from there
-
What's the reason for the change from Milltek to the BCS system Neil?
Performance, aesthetics.....just curious.
-
I like the idea of a stock sounding system off boost and when on boost a valve opens in the exhaust and sounds like a group b rally car
Also creates more low down torque, and I like the idea of having something different from the norm,
I have also requested black tailpipes again
-

Come on then Nige get them pics up
The quality and fit is absolutely spot on really really pleased with it, on the motorway at cruising speeds you cannot hear it above the road noise, but once on boost all hell breaks loose  but in good way not a Chavey sound, a proper blokes exhaust note !
I really liked the Milltek but this is in a different league,
Well done on developing a great quality system for the GTi and its also nice to see a company who is passionate about its products and service,
Enough of all that  where's the pics
-
You know the rules, pictures or I report this to the mods as a lie
Pictures, Pictures, pictures.....

Big thanks to Neil for bringing your 6 in today and allowing us to develop the new trim style for the Powervalve system.
Top bloke with a top car
Here are a few pictures of the install as promised - The BCS Powervalve variable tone boost actuated performance exhaust system...

Tailpipes don't look that colour now after a fun 100 mile drive home in the rain
Cracking pics Nige

Looks
-
That's looks ace, looking forward to the vid.
-
Those exhausts look fantastic. The sound must be epic.
I'm liking the black gloss diffuser also.
-
Very nice indeed
-
Looks great Neil, get that sound clip up
-
Very nice indeed! And how clean is your car underneath??
-
That looks stunning Neil..
Looking forward to the vid...
-

I couldn't believe how clean it was under there, especially with 45k now on the clock and 3.5years old
This system is really quiet when tootling around, can't wait till Easter weekend now for the Ring n spa trip and hear it at proper full chat through the tunnels and on track
Full chat on the roads is license losing territory, apart from the traffic lights blast
-
As promised here are a few videos of the Powervalve system on Neil's 6
First up is the car free revving - "Off Boost" so just a nice crisp sports tone similar to stock...
(http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h269/nigeblueflame/VW/Golf%20GTi%20MK6/th_GolfGTiMK6RevvingOffBoost_zpsdf34a6ee.jpg) (http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h269/nigeblueflame/VW/Golf%20GTi%20MK6/GolfGTiMK6RevvingOffBoost_zpsdf34a6ee.mp4)
The second video shows the powervalve in car, again running "Off Boost" - nice and relaxed, no boom frequency...
(http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h269/nigeblueflame/VW/Golf%20GTi%20MK6/th_GolfGTiMK6InCarOffBoost_zps9702e621.jpg) (http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h269/nigeblueflame/VW/Golf%20GTi%20MK6/GolfGTiMK6InCarOffBoost_zps9702e621.mp4)
Finally for some action...
As the driver demands power, everything changes - boost changes the dynamic of the Powervalve system and we get that glorious Sports tone  - then as soon as the power demand lifts everything immediately calms down again...
(http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h269/nigeblueflame/VW/Golf%20GTi%20MK6/th_GolfGTiMK6InCarBoosting_zps5f3e9474.jpg) (http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h269/nigeblueflame/VW/Golf%20GTi%20MK6/GolfGTiMK6InCarBoosting_zps5f3e9474.mp4)

Nige

Very nice mate.
-
Just want to say that's not me driving in the videos
I have mastered how to get the power down 100% even on wet roads
When I dropped a couple of gears today and overtook a car the mrs asked me if the exhaust was blowing   I just said no it's always been like that
If only she knew what I've done to the mk6 lol

It's the same system as mine, it will bolt straight onto a KO4
I'm sure Nige will confirm this

That sounds sweet as Neil...

Very nice indeed! And how clean is your car underneath??
must admit sadly that's the first thing i thought, just how clean it was underneath the plastics shine mine are filthy.

Hey guys we're thinking of organising a Spring Group buy for the forum members - is there anyone considering upgrading their system at the moment ?
We will be organising an official thread - so for the moment this is a 'feeler'
Cheers

Maybe mate, if the deal is right.
-
Been a few weeks now with this system fitted and I have found a problem,
My MPG has dropped considerably due to driving on boost everywhere
The raspy growl on boost is so addictive,
This is an awesome bit of kit and if anyone is thinking of joining the upcoming group buy you will not regret it, so quite off boost and no boom whatsoever on motorway driving, put your foot down and all hell lets loose
-
Nige - do you do an aluminium tip option as I do like my shiny tail pipes?
-
I thought i'd finally get a sound clip of the BCS system sound on/off boost, the clip dosn't really do it justice but you'll get the idea
Just a shame that on this outing i seem to have blown the turbo ?
Getting it checked out tomorrow only smokes when oil is hot and on boost ?(around 7 mins on vid) so i pressume its getting past the turbo seals
K04 Time then
