Title: Scirocco engine same as MK6 GTi

A friend drove my car this weekend and has spent the last few hours perusing Pistonheads   :grin:

Having just rung me he has commented that the Sciroccos are a air bit cheaper than the Golfs with a bit more choice but has noticed they suggest the std engine power is 200bhp.

Is this the same engine as the Mk5 GTi's with the K03 turbo or does it share the same E888 with IHI turbo as our MK6 GTi's?

Thanks Exonian......he's just made me an offer for my car so I can buy the .:R.....sadly I don't think I could afford the divorce which would follow if I suggested this car shuffle to my wife  :laugh:
