Title: Passat 1.8t b5.5 (oil leak in turbo)
Post by: Liftedd on 10 February 2013, 17:21
I have just updated my dump valve, noticed theres oil in the pipes. And have noticed my car being slow (sluggish). my car wont boost right and the valve has no effect. Do you think my turbo is salvageable or do i need a new one. also do the passats come with ko3 standard or is it ko3s? i have a ko3 sat around

probaly need a new one,  very simpel creatures and not a lot to go wrong,  but anthing that dose go wrong kills it,

may have siezed,  snaped shaft,  one of th einpellers broken up, or if it ratteld the wastegate vale may have snapped,   all pritty much fatal to turbo

could have either turbo, normally the engine code will tell but my old apu engined one had a warranty replacement k03s (instead of k03)
