Title: slightly overfilled the oil

As above, overfilled oil by about 4mm above the maximum on the dipstick. It's a TDI by the way!

Will this cause me any problems?

I would remove the extra oil. I don't fill diesels to the max as too much oil may cause a diesel pick up and if its an auto it will just blow itself up without being able to stop it.
