3 door rear speakers either side of seat are 6.5" can you fit a 6x9 in behind and any probs in doing so?
-
I also want to know this. Have been doing some reaserch but to no avail. Im going to jus open it up and have a look myself and see if can make some adapters out of mdf
-
Can't see why not, just cut the metal to your new shape. Tho have you thought about a good set of speakers up front and amp them?
-
should be able to. like you said make an adapror ring from mdf. remove the old plastic speaker holder and job should be good

Yeah will put a decent set up front but wanted 6x9s in rear to add decent bass as i cant have a sub in boot as all space is needed.

Use some mini subs in the rear doors then

Will need some good sound proofing to stop the nasty rattles

Would prefer full range sound in the back and a small amp to power front and rear speakers, where do most on here hide amps in their mk4's
-
You won't need full range as you already have separate tweeters
