Title: mk4 golf gti 1.8 turbo lumpy tick over
Post by: maggott84 on 08 February 2013, 23:33
hi peeps im new to this site and have a problem with my mk4 gti turbo. when i start her up in the morning from cold she runs fine but when she has warmed up and left to tick over she fills abit lumpy. on my way home from work i noticed that the engine light had came on but she was accelerating like normal i got home switch her off and started back up again and the revs sat at about 13-1500 revs for a few seconds then dropped. never noticed this before when the engine is warm. im thinking that it may be the lamba sensor but not 100%. can point me in the wright direction many thanks

Sounds more like coolant temp sensor to be honest

i had a mate plug it in for me today came up with boost pressure exceeding limit had a quick look under the bonnet and found that the forge recirculation valve had come lose. tightened it up deleted the fault and so far so good . thanks for the reply tho mate
