Hi,
Plenty of threads on here and elsewhere about fitting S3 interior grab handles and visors into a mk4 Golf.
Anyone know for sure if grab handles etc are compatible and from which shape Audi? Got my eyes on some from an 8L (yr 2000)....
Thanks

What's so special about them anyway?
-
S3 ones are black too, same as (I hope) 25th Anni but without the scene tax bullsh1t
-
I did not think that the anni ones were black?! I thought they would be brushed Ali, or at the very least chrome :lipsrsealed:
Can an Anni owner confirm or deny this please (pics ideal)??

R32 is brushed, dont know of chrome ones though :undecided:

Anni is the same as the R32 brushed alloy.

I think he means the handles above your head in the roof lining

The penny drops suddenly!!

Anni grab handles are black! You can also buy some Skoda Fabia or Octavia grab handles which are black and they fit! Also Leon sun visors fit but not the vanity light
-
I've got Fabia handles in mine

Gotta love a bit of terminology misinterpretation
Grab handles as in grab handles, not door pulls........
Bought them anyways.
I'm 99.9% sure the grab handles fit fine. The sunvisors may not be switched illuminated type and I've got it in mind they aint quite the right shape, so they'll get sold on with the centre visor that's also been thrown in. I got a bargain on it all so will not lose out either way.

I blame the title of this topic... No mention of grabbing anything!

That's the problem dude. Anni new from VW is a last resort, so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for some popping up for sale.
I'll see how far off the S3 ones are. I got it in mind they don't illuminate and they don't close fully, like the wrong shape for the gaps in the headlining.
Looking at paints and dye products to perhaps colour up my current beige ones. What's the worst that can happen? I balls them up and have to leave the S3 ones in and open permanently.

Other ones to look for are Skoda Octavia vRS sunvisors. No vanity light but fit perfectly

I sprayed my headlining black and sprayed all the interior parts black, apart from the grab handles and sun visor clips! The end result wasn't that bad either, better than I expected! The sun visors came up good aswel Well worth a go at spraying them yourself before going to vw

What spray did you use on the visors matey?

0.1% uncertainty = FAIL
The grab handles from an 8L S3 do not fit the mk4 golf as they are about 1/2 again too long.
Part Nos for reference:
8D0 857 607F & 8D0 857 607G
The visors would fit at a push but would look kinda pants TBH. They're out of line to the hook in the roof and they don't close properly. Elec connection is also different.

8D0 857 551 & 8D0 857 551
C0ck.

No worries dude. Nothing lost if I can sell them on and get back what they cost me.
