So ive got my piece o crap back from its mot failure after costing me £420 its legal again. Advisories are both rear trailing arm bushes and both front suspension bushes could do with replacing. Question is where are these parts? How much for me to buy the bushes and can i fit them myself? Bearing in mind ive the technical prowess of a retarded blind goat and just as many tools. .

A retarded blind goat will not be able to fit these :undecided:

Cue the ridiculous garage quotes and flat refusals. They're time consuming to change but a lot of people do claim they're a lot harder to do than what they actually are imo.

You can buy complete wishbones with bushes to save time for the front, probably works out the same as just doing the bushes at a garage.
If you have the kit rear bushes are easy, if not its a struggle.
I reckon an hour and a half for the front and 2 for the back, 3.5 hrs + parts at £80ish
Reckon you will get stiffed for close to £300 at a garage charging £60 per hour....
Man up, get some spanners and a friend with a Haynes

Not gonna happen. The cars raped my wallet too many times. Im giving up on it. Saving up for a Nissan Primera GT then my golf will be out the door. Its been nothing but grief
