Title: head gasket gone?

i have running problem with 1991 8v. header tank is low and a whiteish sludge on oil cap. whats best way to get any water out of engine?? and if it is head gasket anythings to look out for ??

What is the running problem exactly?

Get it compression tested. You may think its a blown gasket but it might just be a water leak and condensation under the cap which is very common.
