Right. I've saved up for a remap but after reading a few different threads, I'm not sure if my cars ready.
I've fitted one if the famous ebay CAI kits. Not sure if the supplied filter is good enough?
Also fitted a catch can, it's not the neatest job in the world. Still getting 17705 fault code (boost leak).
Standard exhaust. Standard tip.
I'm only looking for a stage one map. I say this now but I'm pretty sure I won't be going any further than that. I've got a little bit of extra money I can spend on small, effective mods to strengthen the map.
Any help would be great lads.

Hello,
The ebay cai kits do have poor filters which after a few cold wet snaps the mesh starts to rust and block the filter up. You can by a decent foam cone filter for 30quidw which will do the job fine.
Our new stage1 TIV mapping will take you to around 204-212bhp and 245-260lbft depending on how good the turbo actuator is. All of our maps have the 17705 bug removed from them so you will never see that common issue ever again unless there is a real major boost leak or fault.
If you have a spare wod of cash I would invest that into a Forge high flow tip (not an ebay on as they are smaller than the oem tips on places.

Thanks for the reply mate, it's me emailing you btw. (Lewis)!
Ill get a new filter and pop that on. Wallets a little light atm so would it be ok to keep the original tip for the time being?
Thanks
