They wont come with new strut top mounts. Check yours at the moment and if there worn then replace them. You wont know until you take them off and inspect them. Other than that you shouldent need anything else in order to fit the coilovers.
-
some new VAG front topmounts will be needed.
you might want to buy some large washers. sometimes the bottom of the topmount doesnt sit well on the top of the coilover and you may need washers to fill the gap or you get a clicking noise over bumps
f**kin annoying

I used a molegrip at the coilover end and it didnt scratch anything.
Was good enough to keep the shaft still while i sorted the top bolt.
-
Yeah the shaft thats spinning that the bolt secures to should have some sort of allen key or nut shape to the top of it. Hold this then tighten the nut.
-
One of these is what u need m8

Hang on a moment :)
After spending the evening swearing at my coilovers top top "retaining nut" Big 22mm nyloc thing the shaft obviously spins! but it's a nyloc nut and just sheared the 8mm flat for holding the shocker whilst trying to undo it. can I use this to undo it I thought You needed that tool for the strut mounting rubber top strut mount nut. Can I use it to undo my top 22mm nut??? or do I need to take it to the impact wrench owning garage????
I only want to change my topmounts!

ok well i got them all fitted...
there knocking loads which is p1ssing me off already...
How do you recommend i set these bad boys up.. there ride height adjustable and damper adjustable.
Cheers

slam it you tart
that nocking noise is annoying. stick a large washer between the topmount and the coilover.
-
it seems to fit really well already though.. Front end is rubbin already and it doesnt feel like a hard right.. seems boucy..
