Check the classsifieds breaking section look for 1.8 golf being broken . or ebay or a scrap yards . trouble is your more than likely be down on power fitting an open cone induction filter to your engine bay as it will do nothing but suck in warm air  :lipsrsealed:

your best bet would be a pipercross / k&n pannel filter to go in the standard airbox and route a cold air feed to it is your best bet.

Complete waste of time fitting on on a small engine tbh.

I don't think you'll find an element for that engine? (My old 1.8spi used the same element as the 2.0 and had the proper airbox)

Is it a 1.8??

If it's the one in your sig then it is a 1.4 or a 1.6 MPI.

PM LazyLunatic for information as he did exactly what you are asking.
