Title: running problems

got a mk2 gti 8v 1991. it starts up fine but any slight touch of the throttle it instantly cuts out. i no its not fireing on cylinder 1, put new plugs in it, awaiting new leads. someone said about the idle valve or something, or maby the coil. just would like to no before start throwing money at it and getting nowhere

Throttle swtches, blue temperature sensor or air leaks for starters :sad:

ah okay then. im hoping to give it a full engine rebuild but need to get it running to transport. it cuts out with bugger all pressure on it it cant really be a fueling problem as it runs on idle.
