me thinking the shocks have gone, any ideas peeps
-
Yep knackered shocks, good chance for a upgrade
-
that will please her lol.
-
yer hit a bump on a bend and it skips, pants
-
Well they were not much good handling wise even when new.
-
Either shocks, top mounts or rear axle bushes. On mine it was rear axle bushes and ended up going down the polybush road. Been fine ever since

This - could be any number of reasons - what mileage is the car and is it standard suspension ?
Could just be cheap coil overs :lipsrsealed:

85,000 full history.ill have to get it in the air.have a good look.its like the car slides to side on the axle
-
it's not got silly old tyres in the rear??
mine came with tyres from 1996 (!) when i bought it last year. skidded on moist road on almost every roundabout....
-
tyres put on in the last month.bit bouncy om back so ill get some new shocks
-
Feels like is snaking at the rear in a bend? As if the rear wheels are steering?
If yes to them questions its rear beam mounts
-
Knackered rear bushes coupled with crap dampers are my bet.

Sounds like mine and handling went to pot as you describe as normallys hugs corners at speed. Ended up being a leaking shock on near side. Easy to check for leaks visually. I upgraded to gas shocks after the cheaper replacement ones from GSF gave up the ghost on one side after just 3 months. Worth buyng OEM quality rather than the cheap ones if paying for someone else to fit as the cost is in the fitting with shock prices for non OEM very reasonable IMO.

shocks are weeping mostly on passenger side, and got more bounce than a saggy pair tits, :laugh:no which i,d rather have lol

double check your axle bushes while your there.... if failing these can wear your shocks really fast as it twists the shockers!!

cheers dude will do

Had this on mine last year - going round corners, the arse end would skip out when going over bumps. Nearly sh*t myself a few times.
A new pair of dampers (shocks) sorted it.
