Title: EGR delete fail
Post by: Haribo! on 02 February 2013, 14:59
We followed the how to from here. Seems to be the same as what everyone else does. For some reason though turning the engine off and starting up again reset the values back to how they were before.

We did it using cheap laptop software, is that likely the problem? We did notice that whilst we could click a done button to leave the menu, the save button wasn't available to us. Do we just need proper VAGCOM to do it?

I don't get what your saying? You don't need vagcom for the EGR delete. I don't even think you can turn off the warning light, if that is what your talking about, using vagcom?

I don't know... on the reply #7 with all the details I couldn't see anything that said it was for non PD. If that's the case, is there a guide for PD engines too?  :undecided:

anyone? It seems like a good idea to do this. I don;t want to clear up a load of crap somewhere down the line. It's pretty clean right now.

There's got to be a way to do this on mine?
