Title: mk2 auto/pierberg question

Just aquired my 1st automatic mk2, and well aware of the pierberg issues, so here's my question...

When its cold the pierberg seems to work fine, although if I drive it straight away in 1st and 2nd gear it bogs down, quite badly, but when its warm its sound, but warm and in Park it idles at 1500rpm. Is that normal?
