Rota Grid are a great wheel - copies of genuine JDM rims. Not bad copies mind - there are some REALLY poor ones out there and the Rota's are well made

Looking at a set of Rota D2-EX rims for my MKIV in Jazz Blue. I do believe that the Golf is one of the few cars that can take the crossover between the JDM and Euro looks. However, I do think to pull off a Jap style rim, the car does need a good drop on it.

Contact James at Rare Rims, he should be able to help with a good price as well

personally i'd set up the suspension first as that could be more troublesome than wheels, once thats all done then you can get the wheels on and see what works and what doesnt. the other arguement would be that if you got your wheels either 17s, 18s etc you can then set up your suspension to the wheel...and the arguement for that would then be...what if the wheel does not fit the ride quality your looking for...i think ive looked into this too much tbh but my ingress would be coilies or springs and the appropriate top mounts, arbs, spacers if your going for down and out and then wheels. MPO and not saying its the best but its worked for me in the past and there wouldnt then be tantrums over previously bought kit already fitted and what has to be taken back out to accommodate for an foreseen problems...

i hope i've made some sense

these are the ones i originally fitted but have decided on a deeper dish and polished rim instead now
