Morning all,
I recently purchased a Golf mk6 GTI steering wheel (flat bottomed, red stitching, DSG flaps, mf buttons) 5K0 419 091 AGASY
However it came with no wiring loom or airbag, I hoped to just swap my'n over, but when I took it to the shop my airbag loom is a different style to the one I was trying to put on,
Is there anyone who can help me find part numbers for the loom and airbag I need to buy please?
Also,
I was messing around configuring the mk7 when I found an option for an OEM subwoofer???
However now I cant find the reference to it, was I dreaming? lol!
If not does anyone have any info or a link to this?
Cheers,

As most people on here have a GTI/D or .:R, not many will have come across what's needed to fit a GTI steering wheel.
I'd get the reg number of a GTI and go and have a word with the parts dept at the dealer, or TPS and see what parts come with the car as standard.
You'll probably find that it will not be that straight forward a job. It seems that VW build a bespoke wiring loom for each car depending on it's specification. It is not just a case of plugging in parts from other models and they will work.

Agree with Dubs, although not sure about using TPS (although their service levels could be regional, not sure)
When you 'configured' and found an option for the subwoofer, was this though VAGCOM or the MFD ?
I only ask as some VAGCOM options/bytes may be visually available but can only be activated (to work correctly) depending on region (i.e. UK). For example, when I connect via VAG to my Mk6 GiT there is a option/byte for flashing read brake lights under heavy braking but I have since found out that, even if you activate this, it won't work in the UK due to regulations....

I think he was on about the on line configurator for ordering a Mk7

What a wally I am, even after doing the same prior to ordering my GiT
Again, please ignore me as I'm being a doughnut

The Fender premium sound pack on the new Beetle comes with a subwoofer, perhaps you were looking at that?

It sounds great as well. I had one as a courtesy car a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for the replies!
I looked everywhere and got a loom which I'm 80% sure will fit, and an airbag which I'm 50% sure will work lol!
Fingers crossed! Lol

I guess you'll never know if the air bag work until it's put to the test.
