Hello all, Finally opened a photostoopid account just to support another account because gone are the days of good sites where you pay a good 30/40 quid a year and its all simple like for simple folk like me!

Aaaaand i have only done so because i like to be helpful where i can and i lost the plot looking for an image to help me out with the thermostat change on my mk2 gti 8v lol...
Im not a moody old grump honest
So im Jess and im the proud owner of Pearl bought with 6 months T&T 92k on the clock and service history with 2 years missing from new for the kings ransom of £375

Thank's for the welcome, I have been getting a few job's done such as swapping the old blowing exhaust for a stainless janspeed s1 system (Can't decide what manifold to get) and of late because of the cold i decided to go for the thermostat change to get the heat back, I couldn't find a thread for dummies on how to get to it with a ceased pas mounting bracket and only info saying it was behind the pas pump i gave up and rang my dad (mechanic) and we did it by moving the alternator (The joy lol)
Im going to do an illustrated thread for it when i re do it tomorrow! (Thermostat stuck shut (Big thanks to John the Dub addict for that info)) so i will get a few more pics at better angles! Silicon hoses were my xmas pressie so they got fitted along the way hehe.

Why thank you! I re did the thermostat with the replacement new one and this time i used the rubber seal ring that i found on the floor outside the garage this morning :embarrassed:
So new hoses new radiator new thermostat and still blowing cold!
Guess i will be working on the heater matrix side of the system tomorrow
Saw a sticky saying something about a pipe mod near the bulkhead last night so i may revert to that if all else fail's.
Think i will get a new heater matrix tomorrow for the sake of £15!
