Vote away.
I have done it. Missed my anni so much that when the opportunity arose I could not say no.
-
came close - purely down to the condition of the shell  walked away to a non declared engine conversion
-
never bought it but gave my ducati monster for my old mr2 a few years back
-
I came very close to buying the Skoda back but still believe once a car is sold that should be it.

I find it very hard to sell cars.
Out of the 6 cars I've had I've only sold one. Still got two and the others got wrote off
-
Had my Golf for 9 years now, the Passat for 3 years and The Pug 405 for 15 years (last 7 years SORN'd)
-
yep, did it with my beetle
-
I've had 3 cars, 2 were scrapped but I don't want to sell my Anni.
-
My old Corrado is up for grabs again (for a lot less than I sold it for).
Was tempted but..................
-
It would be tempting to buy an old car back, but fond memories would probably cloud your judgement of whether it was actually a good/reliable car in the first place, never mind what had been done to it or how it had been treated in the meantime.

Sold this to a dude in Warwick

And bought it back 2 owners later from a bloke in Cardiff!
Only to sell it on again when something else caught my eye!

Yes, but you're not normal, are you?
I've been tempted on a couple of occasions when a T25 Doka Syncro I used to own's come up for sale, but each time I've thought more carefully about it and thought 'yeah none of those things are going to have got any better' and got on with my life.
It's like a dog going back to its sick and eating it - just because it can do it, doesn't mean it's right.
-
Always sold my motors when they started being uneconomical to repair! My MK3 was mint in the mechanical department but the rust gremlins started appearing.
It had to go due to my OCD caused by things not being perfect

I originally bought my mk2 from shaft69 on here about 6 years ago, sold it, then bought it back from the guy I sold it to a couple of years later. I'd always moaned that I shouldn't have sold it, found by chance on pistonheads and the rest is history! Since buying it back I've given it a 3/4 respray, 16" nothelles and a 20vt conversion! I've just pulled the engine out again to put an ihi vf34 on it! Hopefully done in time for ultimate dubs but we'll see!!
