Right driving the car to work this morning and on the way work when the revs are at about 2/2.5k it was running rough and wouldn accelerate so I was dipping the clutch, getting it to 3k and it was fine then stopped at a junction and it cut out and wouldn't start. Pushed it to a car park and got it to start but it's running really rough like it's not firing on all cylinders. Help?! Checked under the bonnet and the oil is alright, one of the ht leads has dried on oil onit the bloke that pushed me said I might have flooded it 'coz there's a lot of water on the road but it wasn't running right before I got to the water? Any ideas
Cheers
Josh

Coil?

Yh did some searching around and other threads that sound the same said coil

Had similar on the mk2 abf... All the signs pointed to coil/injector.... Turned out to be a cup full of water in the ecu.... Snow had melted and found a way in.... It's 4 screws to check...
Might not be but symptoms sound same as mine

Hi mate just a quick one might be helpful! My car started to run really rough the other day out of the blue, Check your fuse box its under the steering wheel on the right side, Fuse 15 (Counting from the left to the right) is the engine electronics fuse mine had blown
Worth a check :)

So put a new coilpack in, run it up to temp. And it started running rough again. Dad said it might be one of the ht leads braking up. So changed them as it seems to have sorted it. No hesitation when pulling away and pulls nice thru the whole rev range. Gunna change the plugs dizzy cap and rotor arm at the weekend but I think I've cracked it!

Not yet. Was planning on welding the new tip on the day it broke down, so it's still in the boot
