Title: stage 2 mods with standard map
Post by: Scott D on 28 January 2013, 22:09
I have an AUQ which far as I'm aware is running a standard map with all stage 2 hardware - full milltek & sports cat, FMIC, ported manifold, induction, new K03s and all sensors replaced not too long ago.

I've got hold of a liquid gauge that has indicated peaks of

MAF = 174gs
BHP = 222 displayed, 217.5 multiplying MAF by 1.25
Torque = 187 ftlb

Torque seems about right and not far off standard but a 40bhp increase from hardware alone seems a lot without any remapping or is that increase usual?

the bhp/torque figures on my liquid gauge were always miles off what the dyno said.. but that maf reading is pretty high, higher than i'd expect to see on a standard ecu. Its possibly remapped already or has an over reading maf sensor. What does the liquid's boost gauge show?

not checked with liquid but the newsouth gauge its spiking to 13psi then holding 9/10psi only dropping slightly

still on the same standard map as when it left after having the K03s fitted, could well be the MAF over reading.

think a dyno run is defiently needed to be sure

ECU should be capping boost as soon as it see's it.....I doubt a exhaust and TIP + FMIC would let the ECU see overboost, but I could be wrong.
