Title: HelPPPPPP!!!! 2000 1.8t agu engine misfire

Hi All....first post today and am in need of help, i have a 2000 1.8t gti golf with a misfire in cylinder three. Have swapped plugs, coils, etc but the misfire stays in cylinder 3. Any ideas of how to sort it? Was told it could be the output stage but im in Dublin and its €300 and not a returnable part..... pleeeeeease advise, any help really appreciated.... thanks, Greg!!! :cool:

Perhaps the lead going to the coil is dead/damaged or even has some dirt/rust on the connections between itself and the coil?

Ok thanks i'll have a look and see if i can clean up all connections. If that does not sort it have you ANY other suggestions?

Ignition Amplifier is your likely culprit

Ignition amp or coil leads.
