hi all welll been an interesting weekend got my porka rims on after a bit of shoe horning, took my car for an mot and the mot place refused to MOT the car, something about it being to low never had this problem in london.... Oh well back to the drawing board!! if anyone knows a good fair MOT station in northampton would they mind letting me know as cant see what the problem is it aint that low!! 90mm drop all round you can still get a jack under it , Oh the joys of owning a modded dub hey ho!!!

Bet they were just a bunch of lazy b*stards anyway , never in my years of cars have i heard something so stupid.
Sure you will find one soon enough ...
-
i've had that before, "can't get it on the ramps mate" bollocks!
-
tell em to stick a couple of blocks of wood by the ramp and the front bumper spoiler is flexible enough not to be damaged.
-
Iv heard that before, a guy i know had a 205 which aparantly failed its mot coz it was too low!?! is that bull sh!t or is that actually possible? cant see the problem myself, apart form the fact its a peugeot
-
well put it this way when i had my scooby couldnt put that on the rollers to test brakes as it was 4 wheel drive but guy said they just drive it with some velocity meter or some sh!t to measure overall braking!! so WTF... so they cant get it on the rollers they can see how well looked after maintained it is should give em some Clue wouldnt be there if i didnt think it would pass!!!!... Come on Guys Fair MOT's for us modded Dubbers

i had similar when i mot's me bug last year, all was ok, but she was that low when she went to go on the brake test rollers the front beam bottomed out and the wheels werent even touching the rollers!! lol, so the geezer took some oldy worldy kinda compass/spirit level type thing on the passenger floor whilst he took for a spin, this equipment was used before 'rollers' were in force so i take it the garage you went to hasnt got any of the old kit for emergencey situation or there just being tw@ts!!
90mm aint to bad, me bug was 1" off the floor!!!

They won't stick mine on the ramps and it's only lowered 40mm!
I tried getting them to use wood.... no such luck.....Bloody pussies!
I'm still cross with them and I took it there a week ago now.
