Title: mk6 GTi owner in Wigan

hi all

did a quick search for a mk6 gti owners club and found this. on a few other forums, as I had a modded mk4 previously. I help organise meets for NorthWestDubs in Wigan, so expect to see a few post from me advertising that.

I have a white 3dr mk6 gti, mapped to 270bhp and just fitted (today in fact!) a Milltek cat back.

I'll stick some pictures up when I get a chance :whistle:

bought the car in November 2012.

first mod was fitting the RNS510 sat nav/DVD headunit

thanks mate.

it's a stock engine. one of the previous owners had the car mapped, which I was unaware of until it went on the rollers, so I don't even know what map is on it.

needless to say, I was very happy with the results haha

That's awesome :) as soon as I have the funds ill be after a remap and a miltek set up, did u go for the resonated or none resonated?

Pryda,hello am new to this forum too I aloso have a mk6 gti black with a rcd510 fitted can you tell me what moblie phone you have as my I phone does not work and am due a upgrade soon

hi mate

the bluetooth connector is an optional extra, even tho all the gti steering wheels have the function buttons. if you can't get your iphone to connect, chances are the original owner didn't get the bluetooth extra.

it can be retro fitted at the dealers, but not doubt it would cost a fortune.

Thanks for getting back to me I have found out the bluetooth that is in the car will not conect to iphone I need to have a upgraded  bluetooth unit so my iphone will work at a cost of £300+ vat or get a new phone

Hi, really nice looking car.

How are you finding the h&r super sports? It looks like a good drop. I'm thinking of fitting them soon ( from my mk51.6, should work apparently). What is you fender to ground measurement for the front and rear?

Have you changed the bulbs in your drl headlights? They look really white.
