Title: is there a guide on changing gear linkage buses ?

I have loads of play in my gear stick forwards and back , so i changed the rods and the bush in the bonnet but still play is present , so i need to do the rest of the bushes under the car that came in my kit ,

anyone got a guide for this but couldnt find anything in the search ?

mk3 1.8 1995 .

I think there's a a guide in the mk2 section. It's for a mk2 obviously but there pritty much the same

Spudboy, where did you get this kit from? And do they do one for the 16v??? Cheers buddy, let me know if it sorts the problem out.

That won't do a 16v because its for a rod change and the 16v is cable change

I thought so murraymint, so how do you improve the gear change on a cable? Mines pants!

I'm not sure. I think you can buy a linkage kit for the cable change. But I've only read that and never seen one. My old gti gear change was horrible but my new one is alright considering its done 150k.

Cheers bud! no snowflakes will be sold as there only 4stud. I so have a set of rx2s to go on, I've split them and shot blasted one, just gotta get motivated to do the rest lol
