Title: Martz Blue GT TDi
Post by: Martz on 27 January 2013, 14:10
With the Costa now sold and gone to a caring new owner, I have now gone and got us a 3 door GT TDi. Needs a bit of work but is mechanically sound. Collecting 9th Feb.

Don't know too much about them but I know a Milltek, Airfilter and Remap will do no wrong. Also KW's will be looked at and funny enough, I have a set of wheels ready to go straight on (Beetle type). More news to follow .......................................................

What engine is it Martz?

Get a decat pipe but don't bother with the rest of the system unless you want a bit of sound

Also a panel filter is a waste of time.

Decat & remap =

Cheers all.

Chuff, I would love a MK2 again but no place to put one at the moment.  I am just finding out about the engine code, not sure tbh. On a diesel is the cat not part of the MOT then?

Nope, I think they are planning to bring it in but nothing as yet.

Ran my MK4 without a CAT and now the Audi without the DPF and its passed every single MOT  :smug:  On the Golf the tester even commented on nice the pipe looked and sounded

I had a Milltek decat on mine but I think THS Performance do a pipe too which comes with adapter sleeves.  Not sure if they still do as it was cheaper than Milltek

The Milltek I had to buy an adapter sleeve to make it fit the standard exhaust.

If I was to choose again I'd just get a decent exhaust company to make one up for you :afro:

Will need a trim repair. The other bits I can manage I think.
