Title: mk4 grooves dimpled disks which way to fit?

Cant seem to find tge answer which way should the grooves be facing?

It really doesn't matter for a road car but if i were fitting them I would have the grooves facing backwards. Like having the grooves run parralel to your windscreen pillar so to chuck brake dust out the back. Apparently running them the other way may improve aggressive breaking but you will suffer with more brake squeal under normal condition. Do the disc manufacturer not say which way round?

It depends on whether the vents on the disk are directional or not. If they are directional then they should face the rear of the vehicle. If the vents are the same on both sides then the grooves on the disk should be used to dictate which way around they go - normally towards the rear of the car again

Mine are below, my vents are the same on either side, you can see the grooves are facing the rear of the car
