Title: GOLF MK4 R32, Questions

Hi

Seen a MK4 R32 for sale, the seller says the cars engine management light is on. Hes had it on the computer and its showing up a sign of G40 Sensor fault?. Has anyone come across this before.

Also car sometimes struggles to get into first or second gear, Is this gearbox on its way out or linkages?

If he hasn't sorted that, what other maintenance has he skipped on?

I know a bloke with a 1.8t that had a light on which was nothing he said.

Cambelt was supposed to have been done but when the waterpump went I did a few bits of work on it and the cambelt looked as knackered as can be.

Unless it's cheap to warrant going over the how car I'd avoid things like that.

plenty out there, if its bargain priced and too good to be true, it normally is  :smiley:
