Hey guys,
Just seeking a 2nd opinion.
She just called to say she's got the STOP check coolant levels. I've got some G12+ for my MK6 GTi, is this the same stuff for the MKV GT 140? I'm sure it is.
Cheers

That will do

Cheers.
She called VW and asked if G12 Plus was the right stuff, and they said "we've never heard of that" ..... lol!
Have to wonder where they get their training? It's bl00dy VW branded coolant!

Not necessarily your issue but my old Mk5 diesel Golf used to do this when the temps dropped below freezing albeit there was never an issue with coolant levels.
Turned out the sensor probe in the expansion tank can be a little temperamental, I cured mine by cleaning the probe with the end of screwdriver which seemed to get rid of any build up of crud.
This may be of some help to you too.

G13 is the stuff now! Mixes with all the 12's evidently.
Keep yer eye on the coolant level over the next few weeks as some of the 140's have EGR cooler problems or (hopefully not!) porous heads........... Don't want to scare you, but it's a possibility.
