Title: Twin Pass Intercoller DIY, ( any1 done this)
Post by: pickles on 20 January 2013, 12:51
was want the THS twinpass cooler but reckon it can be a DIY/Custom job, just wondered if any1 has done this before.

using this core http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNIVERSAL-DUAL-TWIN-PASS-FRONT-MOUNT-INTERCOOLER-600X-300X76mm-DRIFT-DRAG-RACE-/230875032448?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35c1396b80

would use the THS PCR also, basically just a cheap rip off of the THS one.

I was gonna do it like this but opted out for a few reasons...

The silicone pipe that runs in the crash bar will have to be custom made as you can't get one with such a long leg and you don't want joins in there incase of leaks

The pass over pipe can't be bought separate so will have to be custom made

Half the intercooler won't be used as its one large chamber so air won't always pass all the way across

If your successful do a write up!! Otherwise wellycooler aka 'the beast' is the way forward  :wink:
