-
if the cats ratteling it didn't take to kindly to been welted by the speed bump you can ether change it or leave it to develop or cure itself
-
its a savage speed ramp its more like a table ,would the rattle cure its self eventually then

I doubt it, if it is rattling it's because something is loose. My guess would be one of the hangers rattling on the heat shield.

theres no heat shield round the cat

I took a nasty knock when I first got my 1.8T  Lost the under engine cover and my exhaust took a big whack! F**CKING Speed bumps
For a while every little bump caused a nasty knocking noise so took it to my mate who put it on ramp. Shook the exhaust and saw that one of the fixings had come lose which was making the knocking noise. 30seconds of welding later, all sorted!

hopefully be the same will look when the snow gone cheers for the advice budd

Can you hear it rattling in the tunnel? Last time we had snow over here, I tore off the rubber bracket at the centre of the exhaust from dragging it over snow mounds in the centre of the road
So it might not be your cat at all. Get it up on a ramp and get under for a look

the rattle sounded like it was coming from the cat when we had it up on a ramp
-
My cat heat guard rattled in high revs as one of the four securing nuts had corroded off! But you said you don't have one :/

Haha most helpful post! :) joking ;)
Have you found the problem pal? Check the center box hangers and also the massive bracket it sits on!

Try to see this as more of a positive than a negative, it's the perfect opportunity for a Milltek downpipe and a high flow cat :nerd:
