Not without modifications - different pipe diameter to begin with.

Gti tailpipe doesn't look all that sporty by itself... I got myself a stainless exhaust tip and screwed that on my 1.8 standard pipe... Looks a bit more sporty and since mine's an estate you can't really see the rest of the pipe anyway.

To do mine I slid scaffold tube over the 1.4 pipe , and the gti backbox then fitted over the scaffold tube , can't remember the sizes of tube but was a lot of messing around for a lot of noise and no go but not impossible
