On way home last night ran over a shredded lorry tyre on motorway dislodging my plastic splash plate, Had a quick look last night and is hanging of, Just a quick question are they easy to fit back any special clips i need etc any help would be great thanks
-
First question, what car is it?
And if it's a VW I assume, it will have two or 3 bolts at the front and there should be 3 screw/clip style things at the back holding it on.

Sorry m8 yes its a mk4 golf tdi, Will have a look in the morning see whats what

If it come off then its more than likely broken from its fixing point, drill ,screws and zip ties spring to mind .
-
Which one is it? One of the sides or the middle?
I'd just pull it off tbh, I ripped my side ones off after a trip along a crap country road left them dragging along the floor.

Its the middle one m8

I'll post up details of fixings for GT TDI 130 and 150 models which should serve as a rough guide...

PD130 - 8 torx screws (4 per side) and 4 slightly larger torx screws fit it at rear (subframe area)
PD150 - 8 phillips screws (4 per side) and 4 torx screws as above fit it at rear (subframe area)
You'll need to check the mounting points for damage, the sidepanels have points where these slide on...

the subframe has these for the torx screws...
